Club Brugge Foundation
Since its inception in 2007, the Club Brugge Foundation has harnessed the power of football to drive positive social change across local communities and beyond. Operating under the inspiring motto “No Heart / No Glory,” the Foundation delivers around twenty annual projects focused on sports participation, education, health, inclusion, and sustainability—all aimed at empowering vulnerable groups and broadening community engagement.
A clear testament to its leadership in social responsibility, the Foundation has been continuously recognized with the prestigious 4-star Football & Social Responsibility label awarded by the Pro League—an accolade it has held for seven consecutive years. Among its pioneering initiatives is the Club Brugge G-Ploeg, established in 2006 as one of the first disability football teams supported by a professional club. The G-Ploeg provides inclusive sports opportunities for players with disabilities and has become a celebrated presence at tournaments and friendly matches.
Within the Diversity Wins project, Club Brugge Foundation contributed to raising awareness on diversity, inclusion, and anti-discrimination through football-based education and community engagement. Using the project’s Scan–Plan–Do methodology, the Foundation participated in the initial diversity scans, developed a local action plan, and delivered school and grassroots activities in its community. By engaging pupils, grassroots players, and local stakeholders, the Foundation integrated the project’s core messages into its ongoing social programmes, reinforcing its commitment to using football as a unifying force.
Through both its long-standing initiatives and its involvement in European collaborations like Diversity Wins, Club Brugge Foundation continues to demonstrate how sport can bridge divides, foster resilience, and create lasting positive impact.
