Diversity Wins Live: Young People in Dialogue with Their Football Heroes

March 25, 2025

The Club Brugge Foundation brought the Diversity Wins programme to life with a special event called “Diversity Wins Live”, where young participants had the unique opportunity to enter into dialogue with their football heroes.

During the interactive session, pupils who had taken part in the educational programme met with first team players from Club Brugge to discuss important topics such as racism, discrimination, gender equality, and respect both on and off the pitch. The event provided a safe space for young people to ask questions, share their experiences, and hear first-hand how professional athletes deal with diversity and inclusion in their own careers.

By combining classroom learning with direct interaction with role models, Diversity Wins Live highlighted the power of football to inspire and educate. The players’ commitment to speaking openly about social issues demonstrated that football is more than just a game — it is also a platform for positive change.
