400 Young People Kick Off Club Brugge’s Diversity Wins Programme

October 24, 2023

More than 400 young people have taken their first steps in the Diversity Wins school programme launched by the Club Brugge Foundation. The initiative introduces pupils to key themes such as racism, discrimination, gender equality, religious tolerance, and LGBTQ+ inclusion through engaging and interactive lessons.

Delivered as part of citizenship education, the programme provides both a student workbook and a teacher’s guide, enabling schools to integrate discussions on diversity and respect directly into their curriculum. Teachers also receive training sessions supported by external experts to strengthen their ability to lead sensitive classroom conversations.

By enrolling such a large group of young participants, Club Brugge Foundation demonstrates the strong commitment of Belgian football to creating an inclusive environment both on and off the pitch. The kick-off marks the beginning of a journey where young people are empowered to challenge prejudice and build a culture of respect.
